The Lifestyle Poll is an online survey developed by Dr. Shauna Springer, a practicing Psychologist with professional expertise in women's issues. The Lifestyle Poll targets women in the "launching years," which is generally between ages 25-40 when careers, marriages, and families are typically being established. Questions in the survey focus on common areas of concern in women’s lives, and assess the decisions and compromises that women make in pursuing fulfilling lives.

• The Lifestyle Poll is an anonymous online survey.

• The Lifestyle Poll was designed to simultaneously operate as a data collection tool and a stimulus for the personal growth of the research participants.

• Data collection is now complete. More than 1200 respondents completed more than 200 questions over a period of 8 months.

• Respondents represent a highly unique sample, mostly pulled from a population of Harvard graduates in their late twenties to late thirties, who are working to fulfill the promise of an equal marriage.

• The information shared by these respondents provides deep insight into the inner workings of a marriage of equals.

• Results from the Lifestyle Poll are now being written up as a book, tentatively titled Marriage, For Equals: The Successful Joint (Ad)ventures of Well-Educated Couples
